Google announced today that they are shutting down Google Reader. They state that while popular usage has declined. They stated on the Google Reader blog that they want to cut down on products to focus on a better user experience.

Let me say this is a bunch of bullshit. This is Google’s 3rd best product behind Search & GMail. This service powers so many other products such as Feedly, Flipboard & Pulse. While they are not only relying on this service alone they benefit from the added userbase that Google Reader users bring to their product.

There are so many other products that they can retire which people do not use or have any interest in. Just looking at their page of products I can find many that should be retired.

Latitude - Has anyone ever in the history of mankind ever used this fucking service? It is fucking worthless and has NO ONE USING IT. It is built into Android devices and still NO ONE USES IT.

Panoramio - Yay Panoramic pictures that NO ONE FUCKING GIVES A SHIT ABOUT. I can use Google Earth to view Panoramic pictures people upload or tag.

SketchUp - NO GOOGLE I DO NOT WANT TO BE AN ARCHITECT. YOU MAY WANT TO BE ONE BUT NO ONE ELSE OTHER THAN LESS THAN .01% OF THE FUCKING POPULATION.

ORKUT - You have 2 social networks and this one came first. I understand that. It is time to tell Brazil to move to Google+ and get rid of this piece of shit because no one else uses this except Brazilians.

Google+ - Do I need to say more?

My Google Reader Top 10 In The Past 30 Days
Wow BuzzFeed had 2,283 articles I consumed in the past 30 days. How much of that was actually worth viewing? Probably less than 1%.
Mashable I don’t even know why I still subscribe to them. Their articles offer no insight anymore or exclusives. They are trying to escape from just being about tech that they have excluded their core audience now. I feel like all of their articles are run through a machine that destroys any emotion that they could have about a subject.
The rest are good. BoingBoing being a hit or miss. Actually more of a miss.
